About Scott
Scott Gumieny, CPA is an accomplished accounting instructor with a passion for educating and mentoring future accounting professionals. With over 10 years of experience in academia and public accounting, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role as Tax Manager at Stonehenge.
Scott teaches a wide range of classes from accounting foundations, governmental and not for profit, taxation for individuals, entities, trusts & estates and advanced accounting. He has also led the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program at Davenport helping to return millions of dollars in refunds to the West Michigan community.
In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Scott is actively involved in leading and developing the internship program at Stonehenge. He helps students apply the classroom theory to real world applications through the program. This provides an invaluable and important experience for students in their journey to becoming accounting professionals.
Scott is a member of the Association for Government Accountants (AGA), a faculty partner with Cengage Publishing, and an advisor for Business Professionals of America. He is dedicated to serving students seeking to become accounting professionals in West Michigan.
He is married to Grace, his better half and another valued member of the Stonehenge Team.
